TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology swimming and diving teams will travel for a pair of matchups this weekend. The Fightin' Engineers are at Valparaiso on Friday at 5 pm Central Time and head to Calvin on Saturday at 1 pm.
Rose-Hulman News & Notes:
* The Rose-Hulman men are ranked No. 39 nationally in the latest Collegeswimming.com Dual Meet Rankings.
* The men's squad has a 12-5 team record this season, while the women have an overall team mark of 8-10.
* Rose-Hulman has had three HCAC Men's Swimmers of the Week, one Men's Diver of the Week, one Women's Diver of the Week and one Women's Swimmer of the Week in 2018-19. Ethan Park has been twice chosen Men's Swimmer of the Week, with Brendan King and Lauren Blake chosen Swimmer of the Week once. Divers Michelle Reese and Peter Venema have also received the HCAC weekly honor this year.
* The Fightin' Engineers are the defending HCAC men's champions and earned runner-up honors in the HCAC women's team scoring last season. The conference championships will take place Feb. 14-16 at the Vigo County Aquatic Center.
The Competition:
* Valparaiso, an NCAA Division I program, returns to competition for the first time since Nov. 18 this weekend.
* The Calvin men are #11 nationally and the women are #19 nationally in the latest Collegeswimming.com Dual Meet Rankings.
Upcoming Action:
* After this weekend's action, Rose-Hulman travels to Franklin Community Middle School in Central Indiana to face the Franklin Grizzlies on Friday Jan. 25 at 6 pm.
