Rose-Hulman Swimming & Diving Travels to Purdue This Weekend

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology travels to Purdue University for the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships on Saturday afternoon in West Lafayette.

* Rose-Hulman came home third in both men's and women's action at the Indiana Division III Championships last weekend.
* Derick Miller was named HCAC Men's Swimmer of the Week for his efforts last weekend.
* Miller won the 100-butterfly (52.03) and was part of the winning 200-medley relay team (1:38.26) to lead last week's performance.
* Last week's winners included Brendan King in the 200-freestyle; Miller in the 100-butterfly; and the men's 200-medley relay team in 1:38.27.
* Elisa Weber led the women's squad with a runner-up finish in the 100-breaststroke (1:16.30).
* The Fightin' Engineers finished 2nd in the HCAC last season in both the men's and women's team championships.
* Both the Rose-Hulman men and women have been picked to finish second in the HCAC this season, according to the preseason league coaches poll.
* According to the HCAC preseason poll release, men's team members to watch include: Jared Brown, Brendan King, Dutch Kipp, Derick Miller, Logan McLaughlin and Ethan Park
* The HCAC preseason poll release lists Parker Brady, Hailey Heidecker, Michaela Kivett, Natalija Pumpurs, Michelle Reese and Elisa Weber as women's team members to watch.
