Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Falls on The Road to Illinois Wesleyan

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.-- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer team dropped to 3-3 overall after suffering a loss from Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday night with a final score of 3-1.  

This proved to be a competitive contest for the Engineers as the Titans were able to lead the game in shots after the first half 10-4.  Illinois Wesleyan was able to get to the net in the 15th minute and the 42nd minute to build a 2-0 lead over the Fightin' Engineers heading into halftime.  

Rose Hulman would answer with a goal of their own after Jessica Wells was able to provide an assist to Lane Lawrence for the score in the 83rd minute.  This made the score 2-1 with little time remaining.  Illinois Wesleyan was able to seal the win with a goal in the 87th minute to defeat the Engineers with a final score of 3-1.  

Goalie Katie Demert was able to end the night with 8 saves in a strong effort.

The team now stands at 3-3 overall and will return to competition on Saturday, 9/21 traveling to face Webster at 1:00 PM CDT.
