Swimming & Diving Teams Host Franklin on Senior Night on Friday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology hosts Franklin College in the 2019-20 Senior Night meet at the Sports and Recreation Center on Friday at 6 pm.  Senior Day will take place beginning at 5:55 pm.

Rose-Hulman News & Notes

* Rose-Hulman's men have an overall team scoring record of 17-8 this season, while the women have a 8-19 mark.
* Friday is Senior Night for four members of the Rose-Hulman men's and women's swimming and diving program:
             * Austin Bockman is a mechanical engineering major from Sycamore, Illinois.  He has reached the "A Final" in the HCAC championships three times, with individual finishes of 3rd, 5th and 6th at the 2019 HCAC Meet.
             * Parker Brady is a civil engineering major from Fridley, Minnesota.  She has a pair of HCAC runner-up finishes in her career, with second place finishes in the 100-backstroke and 200-backstroke in 2018.
             * Michaela Kivett is a biomedical engineering major from Naples, Florida.  She has 6 career top-four finishes in conference diving championships, with 3 runner-up finishes at HCAC Championship events.
             * Michelle Reese is a computer science major from Godfrey, Illinois.  She has 3 career top 5 finishes in HCAC championships, including 2 runner-up finishes.  She also holds the 1-meter, 11-dive school record (446.35 points).
* The men's swimming team has had Jared Brown, William Kemp, Brendan King and Derick Miller named HCAC Men's Swimmer of the Week this season.
* On the women's side, Michaela Kivett is a two-time HCAC Women's Diver of the Week and Michelle Reese has earned the award once in 2019-20.
* Both the Rose-Hulman men and women have been picked to finish second in the HCAC this season, according to the preseason league coaches poll.
* The 2020 HCAC Championships take place Feb. 13-15 at the Vigo County Aquatic Center in Terre Haute.
