TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology opens the 2020 portion of the men's tennis season with two matchups in the state of Michigan.

Sat. Feb. 8 (at Big Rapids, Michigan) - Rose-Hulman vs. NCAA Division II Ferris State - 6 pm
ROSE-HULMAN NEWS & NOTES (0-0, 0-0 HCAC)
* Rose-Hulman has been picked to win the HCAC for the sixth consecutive year according to the preseason poll released Feb. 3.
* The men's tennis has won five straight HCAC championships and made five straight NCAA Division III Tournament appearances heading into the 2020 season.
* Rose-Hulman picked up its second NCAA Division III Tournament in program history in 2019, defeating Illinois Tech as part of a 14-10 overall season.
* Rose-Hulman has won 47 consecutive matches against HCAC competition and has not lost to an HCAC opponent since May 2014. HCAC action begins March 28.
* Rose-Hulman finished the 2019 season at No. 17 in the ITA NCAA Division III Central Region rankings.
* Ian Landwehr was named the 2018 and 2019 HCAC Player of the Year. Landwehr has a career singles record of 42-8 (39-6 in dual matches) and is 28-23 in doubles play.
* Other 2019 all-HCAC performers from last include senior Austin Perry; sophomore Joseph Conrad; and junior Grant Stamper. Sophomore Josh Giambattista was named honorable mention all-league.

* Case Western is ranked #12 nationally in the preseason ITA rankings.
* Case Western finished 21-9 last season.
* Ferris State finished 11-12 overall but 6-2 in the NCAA Division II GLIAC last season.
