CLERMONT, Fl.-- The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers came up short in two close games on Thursday.  The team suffered a loss to Eastern in the first game of the day's double header with a final of 6-1.  The Engineers would then fall in a thrilling game against Regis with a final of 4-3.

Game 1- Rose-Hulman 1, Eastern 6

The Engineers would start the day facing off against Eastern University.  Emily Struble would start at the mound recording four strikeouts in 4.2 innings.

Rose-Hulman would jump in front early after a single by Alexis Sullivan pushed in a run by Ashley Pinkham in the bottom of the first.  Eastern would tie the game in the top of the fourth with a run of their own to make the score 1-1.

Eastern would have an offensive spark in the top of fifth, scoring four runs to jump ahead of the Engineers 5-1.  Eastern would hold onto their lead adding on another run in the top of the seventh to defeat the Engineers 6-1.

Game 2- Rose-Hulman 3, Regis (Mass.) 4
