TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology relied on eight event victories to win the team scoring at the Friday Night Spikes Series Meet #3 at the Sports and Recreation Center.

The Fightin' Engineers outdistanced Manchester, Mount St. Joseph and Transylvania to bring home first-place team honors.  A pair of Rose-Hulman student-athletes won two individual events each to lead the performance.

Noah Thomas won the long jump (21' 2") and the 200-meter dash (23.34), while Tim Youndt captured top honors in the 60-hurdles (9.00) and the triple jump (44' 3 1/2").  The triple jump mark for Youndt ranks No. 5 in the history of Rose-Hulman indoor men's track and field.

Other event winners included Jacob Eve in the 400-meter dash (51.91 seconds), and Mikey Holtz in the pole vault (12' 11 1/2").

Rose-Hulman also swept the 4-x-200 and 4-x-400 meter relay events.  Raymond Bates, Rashard Brown, Chaikou Sow and Prescott Brackett won the 4-x-200 in 1:35.99.  Bates, Eve, Stephen Payne and Jacob Bird won the 4-x-400 meter relay in 3:36.89.

The fourth meet in the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes Series takes place next weekend at the SRC.
