TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology relied on eight event victories to win the team scoring at the Friday Night Spikes Series Meet #3 at the Sports and Recreation Center.
The Fightin' Engineers outdistanced Manchester, Mount St. Joseph and Transylvania to bring home first-place team honors. A pair of Rose-Hulman student-athletes won two individual events each to lead the performance.
Noah Thomas won the long jump (21' 2") and the 200-meter dash (23.34), while
Tim Youndt captured top honors in the 60-hurdles (9.00) and the triple jump (44' 3 1/2"). The triple jump mark for Youndt ranks No. 5 in the history of Rose-Hulman indoor men's track and field.
Other event winners included
Jacob Eve in the 400-meter dash (51.91 seconds), andÂ
Mikey Holtz in the pole vault (12' 11 1/2"). Â
Rose-Hulman also swept the 4-x-200 and 4-x-400 meter relay events.Â

Chaikou Sow and
Prescott Brackett won the 4-x-200 in 1:35.99. Bates, Eve,
Stephen Payne and
Jacob Bird won the 4-x-400 meter relay in 3:36.89.
The fourth meet in the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes Series takes place next weekend at the SRC.
