TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman men's track & field team picked up a first-place finish in the Fightin' Engineers Spring Classic on Saturday. 

The team finished the meet with 10 event wins and 25 top-three finishes. 

Andrew Shields had an outstanding finish in the 200-meter dash, winning the race with a time of 22.19. William Fleck was another standout with a win in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.46. 

Andrew Hamamoto led the team in the distance events with a win in the 5,000-meter run in a time of 15:47.98. Sawyer Richter was another distance event winner with a first-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:14.53. 

The Fightin' Engineers also picked up two relay event wins on the track in the 4x100-meter relay (44.51) and the 4x400-meter relay (3:28.61).

Bryce Chen led the team in the field events with a win in the triple jump with a mark of 12.75 meters (41' 10"). Kolton Nanko was another field event winner, placing first in the pole vault after clearing a height of 4.60 meters (15' 1"). Benjamin Olenick was the final jumps event winner, placing first in the high jump after clearing 1.83 meters (6' 0").

Antoine Cooper led the team in the throwing events with an event win in the discus with a mark of 48.24 meters (158' 3"). 

Rose-Hulman will return to action in the Pacesetter Invitational hosted by Indiana State on Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4.
