NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer recorded its 5th straight victory on the road at Manchester University. Rose-Hulman moved to 8-4 on the season and 5-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play, while Manchester fell to 5-7-1 and 2-3 in the HCAC.
Tatenda Mafa scored the winning goal for the Fightin' Engineers in the 13th minute, assisted by
Caleb Urban.
The Rose-Hulman defense recorded the 5th straight shutout, led by the goalkeeper
Evan Hofer with four saves.
Rose-Hulman outshot the Spartans 11-6 in the match, led by four shots from
Takezo Kelly.
The Fightin' Engineers return to conference play on Saturday, October 16 at Transylvania University with a 3:30pm kickoff.
