LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer beat Transylvania University on Saturday afternoon 1-0, improving to 9-2-1 on the season and 5-1 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play. This win marks the fifth straight victory and fifth straight shutout for the Fightin' Engineers.
Lane Lawrence scored the eventual game-winning goal, which occurred in the 11th minute. Lawrence has now scored in three consecutive matches, bringing her season total to eight goals.
The Fightin' Engineers outshot the Pioneers 22-9 in the contest, led by Lawrence with five total.

Elle Vuotto each finished with four.
Natalie Dillon led the defensive effort with three saves. The Fightin' Engineers have outscored the opposition 16-0 during the current 5-game winning streak.
Rose-Hulman returns to Terre Haute to take on the Panthers of Hanover College on Wednesday, October 20 at 7pm.
