RICHMOND, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology improved to 5-2-1 on the women's soccer season with a 1-0 road victory at Earlham College on Saturday afternoon.
Kyra Hicks scored the lone goal of the match in the 44th minute, courtesy of a pass from
Meghan Garry. Â
The Fightin' Engineers outshot Earlham 21-6 on the day, led by five shots from
Lane Lawrence.Â
Elle Vuotto and
Alicia Rodriguez added three shots each for Rose-Hulman.
Defensively,
Natalie Dillon recorded one save in the team's fifth shutout of the season. Becca Hancock kept Earlham in contention with 12 saves.
Rose-Hulman stands 1-1 in league play, while Earlham dropped to 0-2 in conference matches. The Fightin' Engineers return to action on Wednesday night at Franklin College.
