TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer improved to 3-0 on the season, winning 1-0 over Franklin College. FC falls to to 1-1.
The match remained scoreless all evening until
Lane Lawrence scored her second goal of the season in the 84th minute, assisted by both
Mariah Mufich and
Sarah Shoemaker. This was Lawrence's 9th goal of her career.
The Fightin' Engineers outshot the Grizzlies 13-6, including 8-2 in the first half. Rose-Hulman also had all four corner kicks on the night.
Sophomore
Natalie Dillon secured her third-straight shutout. This evening she finished with six saves, moving her to 20 total for the season.
The women's soccer team return to action for Senior Day this Saturday, March 13 at 2 pm against Transylvania University, who are 2-1 in this early season.
