TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer won convincingly over Earlham College 9-0, moving to 7-0-1 on the season. Earlham fell to 2-6 on the season, and Rose-Hulman remains at the top of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference standings.
One highlight of the afternoon goes to
Takezo Kelly, who finished with a 3-goal hat trick before the halftime break. Kelly now has eight goals through the team's eight games.
The other scorers of the day consisted of
Andy June (2),
Sam Alvares (2),
Caleb Urban, and
Brevin Lacy. Urban also ended with two assists, alongside
Chris Fusaro with two assists.
Tyler Foster and
Jacob Dirienzo each tacked on one assist.
Rose-Hulman jumped out to a 6-0 lead at the halftime break, putting up 13 shots to Earlham's zero. The shots ended in RHIT's favor, 23-0. Corner kicks also fell to favor Rose-Hulman, 10-0.
The Fightin' Engineers will return to the pitch for their regular-season finale at Anderson University on Wednesday, March 31 with at 7pm kickoff.
