TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology won its 13th consecutive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Men's Track and Field Championship and the 38th league title in program history with a strong team performance at the William Welch Track and Field Complex on Friday and Saturday.

Rose-Hulman has now won each of the last 24 HCAC men's championships contested by the league, including every outdoor title since 2008 (13) and every indoor championship since 2011 (11).  Larry Cole swept the Men's and Women's Coach of the Year awards to increase his career total to 27 in HCAC competition.

The Fightin' Engineers scored 210.5 points to outdistance Manchester (161) and Transylvania (79.5) to round out the top three finishing positions.  Hanover and Earlham rounded out the top five in the 10-team meet.

Rose-Hulman also captured one major individual athlete award, as Jacob Eve was named HCAC Newcomer of the Year for his performance throughout the weekend.

The Fightin' Engineers won six events to highlight a strong team performance.  Rose-Hulman also had three runner-up performances and five third-place efforts.

Individual conference champions included Eve in the 400-meter dash (50.18 seconds); Mikey Holtz in the pole vault (12' 6 1/4"); Noah Thomas in the 100-meter dash (10.91); and Tim Youndt in the triple jump (43' 3 3/4").

The Fightin' Engineers also swept the 4-x-100 and 4-x-400 relay championships.

The 4-x-100 team of Prescott Brackett, Rashard Brown, Jacob Jagger and Thomas won in 43.54 seconds.  The 4-x-400 team of Raymond Bates, Eve, Will Thesken and Jacob Bird won in 3:25.68.

Runner-up finishers included Nolan Gross in the 3000-steeplechase (9:36.03); Logan McLaughlin in the pole vault (11' 6 1/2"); and Thomas in the long jump (21' 5 1/2").

Bird led the third-place bronze medal honorees with third-place performances in the 200 (22.60) and 400 (51.03).  Other third-places were earned by Isaiah Lilje in the javelin (150' 11"); Aidan Moss in the 110-hurdles (16.17); and Youndt in the long jump (19' 11 3/4").

Rose-Hulman selected individuals will return to action at the Indiana State University Pacesetter Invitational on Friday.
