ANDERSON, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology softball team fell twice at Anderson University on Saturday, 14-2 and 6-2. Rose-Hulman fell to 9-22 and Anderson improved to 11-17.
Rose-Hulman jumped ahead early in game one on a
Jessica Thuer RBI single that scoredÂ
Reagan Knabe. The other run came on a sacrifice fly by
Alexis Fortuna that scored
Mackenzie Hunt.Â
Angela Bouboulle finished with two hits in game one. Thuer,
Jacky Neuman, and
Aiko Sherman also recorded hits.
Game two remained scoreless until the third, when Anderson plated two runs.
Gabrielle Davidson broke up Anderson's no-hit bid in the sixth with a single.
Boulboulle, Thuer, Neuman, and Davidson all recorded one hit in game two. Neuman tallied two RBIs.Â
Rose-Hulman will honor its two softball seniors -
Emily Struble and
Jessica Thuer - tomorrow, May 2 at home against Defiance College. First pitches are scheduled for 1pm and 3pm with Senior Day activites beginning approximately 15 minutes before game one.
