TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology recorded a pair of personal best performances to highlight the men's track and field effort at the Indiana State University Pacesetter Invitational on Friday.
The meet featured primarily NCAA Division I competition along with selected Division II and Division III programs.
Jacob Eve recorded a personal best time of 49.01 seconds in the 400-meter dash to place 7th in the field.Â
Noah Heckenlively also had a personal best with an 800-meter time of 1:56.67 for 13th place.
Noah Thomas added strong performances in the 100 (11.19) and 200 (22.35) to the effort.Â
Nolan Gross brought home the best individual placement of the day by finishing 6th in the 3,000-steeplechase in 10:03.05.
Other Rose-Hulman competitors included
Dawson Allen in the 100 (14th in 11.30) and 200 (23rd in 22.86);
Jacob Bird in the 200 (18th in 22.72) and 400 (18th in 51.55);
Isaiah Lilje in the javelin (13th with 123' 3"); and
Tim Youndt (14th with 42' 11").
The meet caps the 2021 track and field season for the men's squad, which was highlighted by a sweep of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Indoor and Outdoor Championships.
