GALESBURG, Ill. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology stands 3-0-1 on the women's soccer season after battling to a hard fought 1-1 draw at Knox College on Wednesday afternoon.
Christina Rogers scored Rose-Hulman's lone goal in the 73rd minute to give the Fightin' Engineers a 1-0 lead.Â
Sarah Shoemaker provided the assist.
Knox scored the first goal against Rose-Hulman this season to force the 1-1 draw. Lydia Mitchell scored for the Prairie Fire on an assist from Ashlynn Lenertz.
Rose-Hulman outshot Knox 20-15 in the contest, including 7-3 in the opening 45 minutes.Â
Lane Lawrence recorded four shots on goal and
Meghan Garry had four total shots to lead the Engineer offense.
The Fightin' Engineers return to action on Saturday at home against Millikin at 1 pm.
