MEET RESULTS
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology came home second in the season opening Friday Night Spikes Series Meet at the Sports and Recreation Center.
Jailen Hobbs led the Fightin' Engineers with one individual and one relay win. Hobbs won the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.04 seconds and was joined on the winning 4-x-200 meter relay team by
Jacob Jagger,
Ian Lemons and
Mason Grawe for a time of 1:36.40. His 60-meter dash time ranks No. 4 in Rose-Hulman school history.
Other individual winners included
Kyle Brownell in the high jump (6' 4 3/4") and
Tim Youndt in the triple jump (44' 10 3/4" - also No. 4 in Rose-Hulman history).
Will Theksen added a second-place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:05.15. Third-place finishers included
Sebastien Hughes in the triple jump (42' 9 3/4") and
Tyler Speitel in the 800 (2:07.38).
Washington University in St. Louis won the meet, followed by Rose-Hulman in second and Manchester in third.
Rose-Hulman hosts its second Friday Night Spikes Series Meet of the season next weekend.
