COMPLETE RESULTS
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's indoor track and field team won eight events to capture first-place honors at Friday Night Spikes Meet No. 2. Other teams in attendance were DePauw University (second place), Brescia University (third place), and Webster University (fourth place).
The Fightin' Engineers secured eight total victories throughout the night.Â
Jailen Hobbs led a 1-2-3 sweep in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.03. Hobbs also placed second in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.01 which ranks No. 4 in Rose-Hulman history.
Rose-Hulman also swept the top three placements in the 800-meter dash, led by
Will Thesken with a time of 2:03.83. Â
The 4-x-200 meter relay team of
Jacob Jagger,
Ian Lemons,
Mason Grawe, and Hobbs secured first place with a time of 1:34.46.
Jacob Eve was an individual winner in the 400 meter with a time of 50.85.Â
Kyle Brownell,
Sebastien Hughes,
Tim Youndt, and
Desmond Dunson all captured victories in field events.  Brownell won the high jump at a height of 6' 4.25". Hughes won the long jump with a distance of 21' 8.75". Youndt leaped to first place in the triple jump with a distance of 44' 4.25". Dunson tossed a distance of 46' 9.5" meters to win the weight throw.
The team returns to the SRC Fieldhouse next Friday, January 28 for the final home meet of the indoor season.
