TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology fell to Hanover College 75-63 on a strong fourth quarter scoring effort by the Panthers. Rose-Hulman dropped to 6-6 overall and 4-3 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Hanover improved to 8-7 overall and 5-5 in the HCAC.
Hanover relied on a strong second half, after the Fightin' Engineers held a 35-31 halftime lead. The Panthers scored 44 second-half points to rally and pick up the victory.
Jordan Barlow led three Fightin' Engineers that finished with double-digit scoring. Barlow finished with 18 points and seven rebounds on 7-for-14 shooting.
Jamie Baum ended the night with 15 points on 7-for-11 shooting, a 63.6% clip.
Rowan Hein added near double-double effort with 10 points and nine rebounds.
Other key contributors for Rose-Hulman include
Ashley Black with eight points;
Rose Burnham with six rebounds; and
Nola Wilson with five points and four assists.
Hanover was led by Taylor Heath with 27 points, six assists, and four rebounds. Katherine Benter added 14 points and Grace Bezold recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The Fightin' Engineers return to action in Cincinnati against Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, January 29 at 2 pm.
