MEET RESULTS
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology relied on eight first-place performances, highlighted by one school record, to win the Friday Spikes Men's Track and Field Series Meet #3 at the Sports and Recreation Center.
Rose-Hulman won the 5-team meet with 160 points, outdistancing Franklin (78), Millikin (73), Hanover (69) and St. Mary-of-the-Woods (52).
Jailen Hobbs led the individual performers by breaking a 7-year old school record. He captured top honors in the 60-meter dash with a school record time of 6.95 seconds. Â
Hobbs also won the 200-meter dash (22.82) and was part of the winning 4-x-200 meter relay team along with
Jacob Jagger,
Ian Lemons and
Mason Grawe (1:33.99).
Field event winners included
Parker Jordan in the triple jump (40' 6 3/4") and
Sebastien Hughes in the long jump (20' 6 1/2").
In addition to Hobbs, running event winners included
John Sluys in the 3000-meter run (8:58.79) and
Tim Youndt in the 60-meter hurdles (8.81 seconds).
The 4-x-400 relay team capped the night by rallying from behind to win the event.Â
Isaiah Lilje,
Jonathan Rogers, Jordan and
Jacob Eve ran a combined time of 3:33.28 in the victory.
Runner-up performers included
Chris Jaeger in the high jump (5' 6");
Logan McLaughlin in the pole vault (12' 3 1/2"); and
Prescott Brackett in the 200 (23.10).
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the DePauw University Invitational on Friday Feb. 4.
