DEFIANCE, Ohio --  The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team brought home a 5-0 win over Defiance on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Fightin' Engineers improve to 6-1-2 on the season and 2-0-0 in the HCAC.

Rose-Hulman started off the game on the front foot and got an early goal as Takezo Kelly scored the opener in the 18th minute off of an assist from Elijah Hardersen.

Then, the flood gates opened for the Fightin' Engineers as they added four more goals in the second half.

Owen Trudt scored a pair of goals in the 52nd and 66th minutes, the second two-goal game in Trudt's career.

Then, AJ Yilmaz and Matthew Schwartz slotted home the fourth and fifth goals of the game to seal the deal.

John Biederstedt made two saves for Rose-Hulman while recording his fifth clean sheet of the season.

The Fightin' Engineers improve to 6-1-2 on the season and move to 2-0-0 in the HCAC. They will return to the pitch on Wednesday as they host Anderson at 7:00.
