TERRE HAUTE, Indiana -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team returned home after a four-game road trip and took a 3-0 victory over Anderson. The Fightin' Engineers improve to 7-1-2 on the season and 3-0-0 in the HCAC.
In the first half, the Fightin' Engineers started strong thanks to their senior forward
Takezo Kelly. Kelly opened up the scoring in the 10th minute off of a beautiful pass from
AJ Yilmaz.
Then, just four minutes and change later, Kelly scored his second off of a long ball from
Jacob Pohl and cross from
Elijah Hardersen.Â
Jackson Seida would finish off the scoring for Rose-Hulman in the 54th minute with a goal off of a couple of balls from
Caleb Urban and
Owen Trudt up the middle of the pitch.
The Fightin' Engineers would outshoot the Ravens 15-3 in the first half of action and 22-8 for the game.Â
John Biederstedt and
Michael Trinh combined for the shutout in goal as Biederstedt made one save and Trinh made two.
The Fightin' Engineers will return home on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 PM as they take on Earlham College in the Homecoming game.
