Women's Soccer Draws Transylvania on Senior Day

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer team dropped a pair of points as Transylvania finds an equalizer in the 90th minute of action. 

The Fightin' Engineers moved to 6-0-2 in HCAC play on the season with the team's 13th straight decision without a loss. The goal by Transylvania also ended the team's school record consecutive shutout streak at 8, and the school record consecutive minutes without allowing a goal at 865 minutes.

In a hard-fought game, the Fightin' Engineers were able to find the first goal of the game in the 33rd minute. Lauren Marquardt took a cross from Kiana Martin and slotted it home with her right foot. Kyra Hicks also got the hockey assist on the play on the pass to Martin.

In the final 20 minutes of the game, the Fightin' Engineers were parking the bus and looking to come out of the game with a 1-0 win, but the Pioneers found an equalizer off of a set piece in the 90th minute. 

Natalie Dillon made 4 saves in goal en route to the draw.

Lane Lawrence led the team in shots with four, and Ella Johnson and Kiley McKee each added a pair.

Prior to the game, the team honored their six seniors on Senior Day. Those six seniors include Bri Camero-Sulak, Natalie Dillon, Grace HobsonLane Lawrence, Kiley McKee, and Sarah Shoemaker.

The Fightin' Engineers will return to their home pitch on Wednesday night as they take on Hanover in a match to decide the HCAC Regular Season Championship.
