HANOVER, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology clinched its fourth consecutive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer regular season championship with a hard fought scoreless draw at Hanover College on Wednesday.
Rose-Hulman completes the regular season with a 12-1-3 record and an 8-0-1 mark in conference play. The Fightin' Engineers also earn the No. 1 seed for next week's HCAC Tournament and will host a semifinal round contest on Wednesday November 2.
Hanover finished 7-0-2 in league play and has earned a No. 2 seed for next week's HCAC Tournament.  With the win, Rose-Hulman extended its HCAC unbeaten streak to 32 matches dating to Oct. 16, 2019. The current senior class holds a record of 33-1-2 in regular season conference games.
On Wednesday, Rose-Hulman outshot Hanover 21-9 in the scoreless draw.Â
Michael Trinh recorded five saves in the shutout to lead the Fightin' Engineer defense.
Takezo Kelly and
Jackson Seida led the offense with seven shots each.Â
Zachary Stolberg added three shots for Rose-Hulman.
Rose-Hulman will host the HCAC Semifinal Round on Wednesday Nov. 2. The championship match will take place on Saturday Nov. 5 at the site of the best remaining seed after Wednesday's semifinal matches.
