Caleb Urban Hat Trick Leads Men's Soccer to 5-0 Win over Earlham

TERRE HAUTE, Indiana -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team returned home earned their second straight home win and eighth win of the season on Saturday as they took down Earlham 5-0. The Fightin' Engineers improve to 8-1-2 on the season and 4-0-0 in the HCAC.

Jacob Pohl got the scoring started for the Fightin' Engineers in the 20th minute as he took a pass from Caleb Urban and fired a reocket into the back of the net from just outside the 6-yard box.

Then, it was the Caleb Urban show as Urban slotted home two goals in the 40th and 42nd minutes to extend the Rose-Hulman lead to 3-0 right before the half. Takezo Kelly and Kai Moore assisted those two goals.

In the second half, it was more of the same for the Fightin' Engineers.

Urban slotted home his third goal in the 76th minute off of a long ball from Aidan Kriek. 

Finally, Tatenda Mafa closed out the scoring with a goal in the 86th minute off of an unselfish pass from Tyler Eldridge.

Overall, the Fightin' Engineers would outshoot the Quakers 22-1 in the win. 

John Biederstedt and Michael Trinh combined for the shutout in goal as Trinh saved the only shot.

The Fightin' Engineers will return to their home pitch on Wednesday night at 7:00 as they take on Manchester.
