TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Wabash College shot 58% from the field and hit 10 three-point shots with a strong offensive to top Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 80-68 on men's basketball Community Night at Hulbert Arena.
Five Wabash players scored in double figures, led by Edreece Redmond with 15 points and Avery Beaver with 14 points.
The Rose-Hulman offense featured 12 points from
Bradley Harden, and 11 points and a team-high six rebounds from
Miles McGowen.Â
Terry Hicks scored 10 points for the Fightin' Engineers.
Other key contributors included
Willie Bowman with nine points;
Max Chaplin and
Vuk Djuric with eight points; and
Kobe Stoudemire with six points.
Playing in front of the largest home crowd since 2020, the Fightin' Engineers narrowly outrebounded Wabash 30-29 in the contest and committed just 10 turnovers.
Wabash, a 2022 NCAA Division III Final Four participant, improved to 8-4 on the season and Rose-Hulman enters the Holiday Break at 5-6. The Fightin' Engineers return home Jan. 4 to face Franklin College in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup.
