TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology hit three home runs in the first home game for head coach Adam Rosen, but DePauw University rallied to pick up a 10-5 victory over the Fightin' Engineers.
Josh Mesenbrink blasted two home runs to lead the Fightin' Engineer offense. Shane Garner also had a first inning home run for the Fightin' Engineers.
Mesenbrink finished 2-4 with three RBIs. Garner added the home run and a walk, and Manuel Lopez had a double and one RBI. Adam Taylor and Colter Couillard-Rodak added one hit and one run each.
Korey Marlow led the Rose-Hulman pitching performance with 2.2 scoreless innings and three strikeouts.
DePauw improved to 6-5 on the season behind three hits and six RBIs from Kyle Callahan. Rose-Hulman stands 5-4 on the season and returns to action at home on Friday at 6 pm against Carthage.

The Tigers failed to push any runs across before the Engineers offense got back to their scoring ways the next inning. Rose-Hulman scored twice on Mesenbrink's two-run homer, which brought the score to 5-0 in favor of the Engineers. The Engineers were unable to hold the lead, as DePauw scored 10 times over the remaining seven innings to grab the 10-5 win.
