AURORA, Illinois -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team battled hard with Aurora, a team that received votes for the top 25, but the Fightin' Engineers ran of steam and fell in five sets (29-27, 21-25, 25-19, 12-15. The Fightin' Engineers will return to action on Saturday for a doubleheader with Wisconsin-Platteville and Millikin at 1:00 CT and 3:00 CT. Allie Fults led the way for the Fightin' Engineers with 11 kills and 7 blocks. The seven blocks marks the second-most in a single match in Fults' career behind a nine block performance last season. Fults also added two service aces.
Elizabeth Canon and
Megan Korte were both also in double figures in kills with 13 and 10, and each player also recorded a block.
Jillian Gregg led the way in assists with 25 while also recorded a pair of blocks. Sophie Harrison added 19 assists as well.Â
Lily Ebright led the Fightin' Engineers in digs with 23, and Harrison was also in double figures with 16 digs.
