CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team brought home a 4-0 win over Mount St. Joseph in the HCAC Opener on Wednesday night.
Rose-Hulman started off the game on the attack and outshot the Lions 20-0 in the first half of action. The Fightin' Engineers would end up outshooting the Lions 29-1.
Tyler Eldridge slotted home the first goal in the 15th minute off of a pass from
Luke Dawdy.
AJ Yilmaz scored just ten minutes later to double the Rose-Hulman lead to 2-0 off of an assist from Eldridge.
Eldridge then scored his second goal of the game in the 33rd minute to make it 3-0 Rose-Hulman.
Before the end of the half,
Takezo Kelly slotted home the fourth of the game off of another assist from Eldridge.
John Biederstedt made one save for Rose-Hulman while recording his fourth clean sheet of the season.
The Fightin' Engineers improve to 5-1-2 on the season and move to 1-0-0 in the HCAC. They will return to the pitch on Saturday afternoon at Defiance with a 3:00 kickoff.
