TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The #24 ranked Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's swimming and diving team hosted Illinois Wesleyan in their second meet in as many days. The Fightin' Engineers brought down Illinois Wesleyan 210.5 - 60.5. The Fightin' Engineers were paced by 13 events wins in the dual meet and added 38 total top-3 finishes.
Vineet Ranade led the Fightin' Engineers with three events wins in the 200 Medley Relay, 100 Butterfly, and 200 IM. Ranade finishes with 7 total event wins in the two meets of the weekend.
Caleb Munger,
Carter Kirtz, and
Sam West each won two events for the Fightin' Engineers as Munger and West combined with Ranade to win the Medley Relay. Munger also won the 100 Backstroke, and West won the 100 Freestyle. Kirtz also won both the 100 and 200 Breaststroke events.
John Dinkel also won both the 1 meter and 3 meter diving events for the Fightin' Engineers.
Rose-Hulman is ranked No. 24 nationally in the latest College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) poll at this point in the season. The Fightin' Engineers return to action in their home pool on Saturday, January 14 as they host their HCAC rivals Franklin Grizzlies and Hanover Panthers.
