MUNCIE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers men's basketball team started their season with an exhibition game on the road against Ball State University on Thursday night. The team suffered a loss in the exhibition with a final of 52-85.
Cole Pride led the team with 12 points in the contest shooting a perfect four for four from beyond the arc.
Troy McManus and
Sam Piontek followed him with eight points each.
Jack Jenniges,
Simon Blair and
Bradley Harden all led the team on the boards recording four rebounds each.Â
The team got the chance to take on a high caliber team in the NCAA Division I Ball State Cardinals. Rose-Hulman played a majority of their players to prepare for the upcoming season. The Engineers trailed at the half with the score at 19-38.Â
Ball State continued to control the momentum in the second half and maintained their lead to claim the win.Â
The Engineers will host their season opener on Friday, 11/10 against DePauw University at 7:30 PM.Â
