TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman men's basketball team hosted Albion College on Wednesday night. The team suffered a close loss with a final score of 65-64. This drops the Engineers to 2-3 overall this season.
Cole Pride led the way for Rose-Hulman recording 11 points in the contest.
Simon Blair also reached double figures in scoring with 10 points and led the team with seven rebounds.
Bradley Harden led the team with four assists.
The game proved to be a competitive one with the Engineers ahead just one point at the halftime break with the score at 39-38. Rose-Hulman was able to go on a run in the second half to build their largest lead of the day after a made jump shot by
Troy McManus put the team up 56-46 with 12:11 to go.
The Britons battled back to even the score at 62-62 with 3:06 left. A costly foul late in the game gave the Britons the chance to take the lead at the free throw line. Down 65-64 with nine seconds remaining, the Engineers were not able to connect with the go-ahead basket and suffered the loss.
The Engineers will begin HCAC play on the road this weekend as they travel to face Bluffton College on Saturday, 12/2 at 3 PM.
