TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's basketball team travels to Louisville, Kentucky to take on Spalding on Friday at 7 PM in their final non-conference game of the season.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman comes in at 4-6 on the season and 2-2 in the HCAC. * The Fightin' Engineers snapped their two-game losing streak with an 82-74 victory over Elmhurst on Saturday.
* Rose-Hulman beat Anderson 83-72 and Bluffton 62-55 in their first two HCAC games of the season. It was their first 2-0 start in the HCAC since 2017.

Jamie Baum, a second-team all-HCAC selection in 2022, is leading Rose-Hulman in scoring with 13.9 points per game. She scored a career-high 25 points in the loss to La Verne earlier this season.
* Baum is currently ranked #1 in NCAA Division III in free throw percentage this year at 95.3%.

Grace Roland has scored in double figures in eight of ten games this season. She became just the third player in school history to score 32 points in a game on Saturday, and she was named the HCAC Athlete of the Week.

Manuella Shomba has dominated inside for the Fightin' Engineers this season. She has scored 16 points or more in four of the last six games.
* Four players recorded double-doubles in Saturday's win over Elmhurst including Baum, Roland, Shomba, and
Sophia Reese. Reese is averaging 11.3 points and 4.8 assists in the last four games.
* The Fightin' Engineers will return to action with HCAC play after the new year as they host the Franklin Grizzlies on January 3 at 7:30 PM.
SPALDING NOTES:
* Spalding comes into the gane at 4-6 on the season and 2-2 in the SLIAC.
* The Golden Eagles have dropped back-to-back games to Greenville and Transylvania.
* They also fell to another HCAC opponent, Franklin.
* The Golden Eagles are led by Sydney Raque and Isis Rodgers at 11.3 and 11.2 points per game.
* Maelyn Ridener is shooting lights out from deep at 53.6% on 15-28 shooting.
* Zaneiya Batiste leads the team in rebounding at 7.9 per game.
* Spalding returns to action after the new year as they travel to Webster to take on the Gorloks on January 4.
SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series 2-0 over Spalding.
* The Fightin' Engineers won 52-49 in 2012 in a tournament at DePauw.
* Rose-Hulman also won 78-66 in Louisville in 2006.
