A Pair of School Records for Jailen Hobbs Leads Three Athletes at ISU

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology had four athletes compete in the Indiana State Open at Indiana State on Saturday afternoon and brought home a pair of school records.

Jailen Hobbs led the team with a school record and HCAC record in the 60m dash. His time of 6.81 broke his own record from last week of 6.83. In the prelims, Hobbs ran a 6.86.

Hobbs also broke the school record in the 200m dash with a time of 22.12. Hobbs broke the record time of 22.21 that was held by 2022 Rose-Hulman Hall of Fame Inductee Sutton Coleman.

Tyce Miller finished in 6th place in the 60m dash with a 7.31 in the prelims and a 7.28 in the finals.

Tim Youndt finished in 1st place in the Triple Jump with a mark of 46' 2.50", just 1/4" off of his career best mark of 46' 2.75".

Youndt also finished in 2nd place in the 60m Hurdles with an 8.93.

The Fightin' Engineers will return next weekend on Saturday at Mount St. Joseph for the HCAC Championship Meet.
