ATLANTA, Ga. -- Emory University relied on a strong offensive attack to sweep a softball doubleheader 10-2 and 11-1 against Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Tuesday afternoon.
In the opener,
Nicole Lang launched her first home run of the season to provide both RBIs.Â
Katelyn Sarvis added a single, one run scored and a sacrifice hit for the Fightin' Engineer offense.
MaKenzie Morgan provided offensive depth with two singles in the opener. For Emory, Ella Hoyle finished 3-3 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBIs to lead the offense.
In game two, Emory relied on a 6-run third inning to pull away in an 11-1 victory. Hoyle again was perfect at the plate with a 2-2, three RBI performance for Emory.

Lexi Fortuna each had singles to pace the Rose-Hulman offense.Â
Hailey Hofmann scored the lone run on the day.
Emory improved to 6-2 on the season, while Rose-Hulman dropped to 1-3 on its spring trip. The Fightin' Engineers travel to LaGrange for a doubleheader on Wednesday starting at 2 pm.
