ROSE-HULMAN MEET RESULTS
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior
Tim Youndt brought home a top-15 finish in the men's triple jump at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday in Birmingham.
Youndt recorded the second best triple jump mark of his career with a leap of 47' 1" to finish 15th overall.
His career highlights include HCAC indoor triple jump championships in 2021, 2022 and 2023; and winning the HCAC outdoor triple jump title in 2021. The mechanical engineering major is also a 4-time USTFCCCA All-Region honoree in the triple jump.
On Friday,
Jailen Hobbs came home 13th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.89 seconds.
Hobbs is a 3-time HCAC Men's Sprinter of the Year. He won the 2023 honor after sweeping the 60-meter and 200-meter dash titles to help Rose-Hulman win its 12th conference championship in the last 13 years.
The computer engineering major is also a 3-time USTFCCCA All-Region honoree and holds school records in the 60 and 200 indoors; and the 100 and 200 outdoors.
The Rose-Hulman track and field tradition includes 56 All-American awards, 10 NCAA Division III national championship performances and eight NCAA Division III runner-up finishes.Â
