TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team had their six-game winning streak snapped on Sunday afternoon by Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The Titans are currently the top team receiving votes in the D3Baseball Poll, which makes them ranked #26 in the country.
In the opener, the Fightin' Engineers had their chances with nine hits, but they were unable to push across a run.
Peter Rogers,
Colter Couillard-Rodak, and
Connor O'Connell led the team with two hits each.
Korey Marlow pitched well in relief going four innings with just one unearned run. The Titans won the first game 4-0.
In the second game, Wisconsin-Oshkosh came out swinging and took control early and won the game 12-0. The Fightin' Engineers recorded four hits in the game with one each by Rogers, Couillard-Rodak,
Andy Krajecki, and
Tyler Otroszko.
The Fightin' Engineers fall to 7-5 on the season while the Titans improve to 8-2. Rose-Hulman and Wisconsin-Oshkosh conclude their 3-game series on Monday afternoon at 5 pm at Art Nehf Field.
