TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology junior
Jailen Hobbs set two school records to lead the men's track and field performance at Indiana State University on Saturday and Sunday.
Hobbs set a new school record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.45 seconds that leads all NCAA Division III competitors in the early season. His 200-meter dash time of 21.34 seconds also ranks as a school record and is in the NCAA Division III top 10 this spring.
The 4-x-100 meter relay team of
Tim Youndt,
Tyce Miller,
Jack Cox and Hobbs added a third place finish in 42.15 seconds. The overall team performance included 12 point scoring performances against a primarily NCAA Division I field.
Youndt led the field event performances with a third place in the triple jump (45' 11 3/4").
Rose-Hulman returns to action on Saturday at the Wabash Invitational.
