FRANKLIN, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology dropped both games to Franklin on Saturday afternoon. The Grizzlies won game one 17-8 and won game two 4-3 in 10 innings.

The Fightin' Engineers battled early in game one with six runs in the first six innings. However, the Franklin offense was off the charts as they led 7-6 going into the bottom of the sixth inning and would score six runs in the sixth and cruise to a 17-8 victory.

Andy Krajecki led the offense with four hits and three RBIs in the game. Kade Kline and Conner O'Connell each added three hits in the loss.

In the second game, Rose-Hulman got a gem from Michael Yager. Yager went nine innings with ten strikeouts, and he allowed only three hits. However, the Grizzlies had two home runs on their three hits.

Krajecki opened the second game where he left off in the first one with a two-run double in the first inning. However, the Fightin' Engineers would not score again until the top of the ninth.

Down 2-3 and down to their final out, Mason Rasmussen roped a single into right field to score Garett Loyed to tie the game.

After not scoring in the top of the tenth, the Grizzlies walked it off on the first batter in the tenth inning for a 4-3 victory.

Jonathan Oliger and Mason Rasmussen each had two hit games in the finale of the doubleheader.

Rose-Hulman fell to 16-14 on the season and 8-5 in the HCAC, while Franklin improved to 24-7 and 12-1 in the HCAC.  These two teams will battle it out in the final game of the series on Sunday at 12 PM at Franklin.
