FRANKLIN, Ind. -- Franklin College improved to 6-4 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference softball action with a 9-4 and 6-2 doubleheader sweep over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Wednesday.
In the opener, Rose-Hulman led 3-1 before Franklin rallied to claim the 9-4 win.Â
MaKenzie Morgan led the offense with three singles, one run scored and one RBI.Â
Nicole Lang added two hits, including a double, with two RBIs.Â
Katelyn Sarvis and
Jadyn Winkler also contributed two hits to the game one offense.
Franklin recorded 12 hits on the day, with
Phoebe Worstell leading the Rose-Hulman pitching effort with three strikeouts.
In the nightcap, Morgan and Winkler each had two hits to pace the Fightin' Engineers in a 6-2 loss. Sarvis and Lang added doubles for Rose-Hulman.
Sydney Rodreghier led the Franklin offense with three hits, including two doubles, and three runs scored. Â
Rose-Hulman returns to action on Saturday with a 1 pm doubleheader at Anderson University.
