TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer team recorded their fourth straight clean sheet and remained unbeaten with a 0-0 draw with DePauw.
Lily Doré was the Player of the Match for the Fightin' Engineers as she recorded a career-high eight games including a couple of great plays late in the game to keep the Tigers off the board. This was the first time that DePauw has been shutout this season as they had entered the game 4-0 while outscoring their opponents 14-1.
The Tigers narrowly outshot Rose-Hulman 14-11 in a hard-fought game from both sides. Each team had opportunity after opportunity, but neither team could take advantage.
Jayden Gibson led the Fightin' Engineers in shots with three, and
Lauren Marquardt added two.
The Fightin' Engineers move to 2-0-3 on the season, and they will take this weekend off before hosting Webster at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, September 20 in the first game of a men's/women's doubleheader.
