HOLLAND, Mich. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team fell to Hope 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The Flying Dutchmen scored the game-winner in the 21st minute on a shot that hit the goal post and bounced Hope's way into the net for the early lead.
Rose-Hulman had plenty of chances in the game with 6 shots, but they could not find the back of the net.
Caleb Urban led the team with three of the six shots.
Oliver Fila,
Connor Patton, and
Dean Monroe each added one shot.
John Biederstedt made five saves in goal for the Fightin' Engineers.
Rose-Hulman returns to the pitch on Wednesday afternoon as they host Millikin in the second game of a men's and women's soccer doubleheader.
