TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology freshman
Jocelyn Onstot was named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week after running the third-fastest mile time in school history on Friday night
Onstot finished 4th place in the mile run with a time of 5:17.62, and she brought home a 5th place finish in the 4x400m relay.
The freshman electrical engineering major from Cary, Illinois ranks 1st in both the HCAC and the Great Lakes Region in the mile run after the opening meet. She also sits in the top-50 in all of NCAA Division III.
This is the first Athlete of the Week award of the season and the career for Onstot.
The Fightin' Engineers return to action on Friday, January 19 for the second edition of the Friday Night Spikes meet at the Rose-Hulman SRC.
