LA CROSSE, Wis. -- The Rose-Hulman women's track & field team had two student-athletes represent the team at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Rose Talbert participated in the 400-meter dash, and
Jocelyn Onstot ran in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Onstot started the championships for the Fightin' Engineers, breaking her own school record in the prelim of the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Thursday with a time of 10:31.46. This was enough for her to finish fourth in her heat and advance to the final on Friday night.
In the final, Onstot secured a 10th-place finish to earn Second Team All-American status with a time of 10:38.80. This is the first All-American honor for the electrical and mechanical engineering major in her first appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Talbert earned a 17th-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.31. Her performance in the prelim was not enough to advance to the final. Talbert finished one spot shy of Second Team All-American honors, landing outside of the top 16.
This is the second-career appearance for Talbert at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. During her sophomore season in 2025, the chemical and mechanical engineering major placed seventh in the 400-meter dash to earn First Team All-American with a time of 54.62.
