TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers hosted Manchester University on Wednesday night in HCAC action. The team snapped their five-game win streak after suffering a loss to the Spartans with a final score of 67-52. This drops the Fightin' Engineers to 8-10 overall and 6-5 in the HCAC.
Miles McGowen led the team recording his sixth double-double of the year with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Harry Weston also had an exceptional game totaling 12 points and leading the team with three assists on the night.Â
After being down 20-18, the Spartans ended the first half on a 15-2 run to take the lead heading into halftime 33-22. The Fightin' Engineers battled back to cut the deficit to five after a made free throw by Weston to make the score 53-48 with six minutes remaining in the second half.Â
Manchester would hold off the Fightin' Engineers comeback, ending the game strong with a 14-4 run to seal the victory.Â
Rose-Hulman will travel to face Transylvania University this weekend on Saturday, 1/27 at 3 PM.Â
