FRANKLIN, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman men's basketball team traveled to Franklin College for an HCAC match up on Wednesday night. The team fell short to the Grizzlies with a final score of 64-61. This drops the team to 3-9 overall and 1-4 in the HCAC.
The Engineers had four players reach double figures in scoring led by
Miles McGowen recording a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Cole Pride was the leading scorer with 14 points on the night. Other double digit scorers included
Rocco Richie with 12 points and
Kobe Stoudemire with 10 points.
A made three-pointer by Richie tied the game at 59-59 with 2:09 left in the second half. Franklin took the lead with a made free throw and a made layup to stand ahead 62-59 with one minute remaining.
Bradley Harden was able to get to the rim with a quick layup to cut the lead to one with five seconds left. Franklin relied on strong free throw shooting down the stretch to secure the victory.
The Engineers will hit the road to continue their HCAC schedule facing Defiance College on Saturday, 1/6 at 3 PM.
