TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team picked up their second consecutive win with a 1-0 victory over the St. Mary of the Woods Pomeroys.
The Fightin' Engineers dominated the first half of action, outshooting the Pomeroys 9-1, but they could not find the back of the net and entered halftime with a 0-0 score.
Carson Manes put Rose-Hulman in front in the 65th minute off a rebounded shot from
Cameron Hannah who picked up his first career assist. It was the first career goal scored for Manes.
In the final 20 minutes of the game, the Fightin' Engineers were put on their back foot with the Pomeroys recording the final six shots of the game in search of the equalizer.
Michael Trinh came up big in goal with 3 saves in the final 20 minutes to earn his first clean sheet and his second win of the season.
The Fightin' Engineers improve to 3-4-2 on the season with their second consecutive victory. They return to action with a crucial HCAC bout on Saturday at 3:30 PM as they host the Transylvania Pioneers.
