COLUMBUS, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's golf team finished in 7th place at the Dan Quayle Invitational Match Play event.
In the stroke play qualifying round on Saturday, the Fightin' Engineers finished in eight place with a score of 322.Â
Jamison Boykins led the team with a 3-over round of 75 for a top-20 finish.
Ben Brander also finished with a sub-80 score of 79 to finish in a tie for 35th.
In match play, the Fightin' Engineers fell to the top seed, Denison, in the opening round before falling to DePauw Gold in the consolation round. In the 7th place match on Sunday, the Fightin' Engineers took down Wabash White to bring home a 7th place finish.
The Fightin' Engineers will return to the course on October 13-15 as they compete in the Golfweek October Classic in Destin, Florida for their final tournament of the fall.
