ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Rose-Hulman women's volleyball suffered a loss on the road against #8 WashU in straight sets on Wednesday night with scores of 25-12, 25-18, and 29-27. This drops the team to 8-13 overall this season.
Jillian Gregg was the key contributor for the Fightin' Engineers finishing the match with a double-double totaling 12 kills and 11 digs.
Lily Ebright was the standout defensively with a team-high 18 digs in the match.
The Bears started off strong claiming a dominant win in the first set 25-12. WashU kept the momentum going winning the second set 25-18. Rose-Hulman put up a fight in the third set going up 24-16. WashU came back overcoming 11 set points ending the set on a 13-3 run to claim the victory.
The Fightin' Engineers will return home to host Mount St. Joseph University on Saturday, October 19 at 5 PM for National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
